It’s why we’re taking actions like creating an entirely new Hispanic product category. So that the growing number of Hispanic consumers in the US can access products that connect them to their heritage.
We’re working to do what’s right for our communities, investing in projects that encourage equitable opportunities. Like in India, where we’re sponsoring vocational training to help differently abled people gain the skills they need to make a living.
Diverse suppliers bring diverse perspectives, but all too often are underserved. So we’re working to build systems to identify where we can support more diverse businesses – like those owned by women and people of color – and to grow our engagement with diverse suppliers year over year.
Locally in Buffalo, we’re a proud founding member of the Buffalo Purchasing Initiative, an alliance of 14 large employers in the Buffalo region. Together, we’ve joined forces to share strategies and resources to form relationships with local businesses of color – and ultimately expand the number of contracts and purchase orders for these businesses.
