Rich Products Corporation Appoints New Leader of Europe/Middle East Region

Buffalo, N.Y., September 15, 2012 – Rich Products Corporation has promoted David Hunt to Managing Director of the company’s Europe/Middle East Region.

Since last November, Hunt has been serving as General Manager of Rich Products Ltd., the company’s business in the United Kingdom.  His new appointment became effective last month. Rich’s Europe/Middle East activities are directed out of the Rich Products Ltd. office complex in Fareham, United Kingdom.

Hunt succeeds Ted Rich, who has been appointed to the newly created position of Senior Vice President, Customer Experience, at the company’s world headquarters in Buffalo.

Ted Rich has been grooming Hunt for the Europe/Middle East position for the past two years.  Thanks to their close-knit working relationship, a smooth transition of strong leadership is anticipated, as Rich’s continues to expand its business across the widespread region.

“David has effectively guided our U.K. business through a highly volatile economic environment and challenging market dynamics,” said Richard Ferranti, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Rich Products Corporation.  “His operational knowledge, strong business acumen, and leadership skills put him in perfect position for this critical senior management role.”

Hunt brings a wealth of educational and professional experience to his new regional position at Rich’s.  With an undergraduate first-class degree in natural sciences from the University of Cambridge and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Bath, he has held positions as an industrial chemist for British Nuclear Fields; a chartered accountant for Ernst & Young; a finance manager for both Cable & Wireless Worldwide and Mercury Communications; and a project manager for change management and systems development projects at NatWest.

Before joining Rich Products Ltd. as Finance Director in 2006, Hunt served as a divisional financial controller for Westland Helicopters and then, following Westland’s merger with Agusta of Italy, he played a senior role in business development.

Hunt’s other duties at Rich’s have included responsibility for Strategy and Planning, New Product Development and Technical functions in the United Kingdom.

“Ted, David and the rest of the leadership team for Europe and the Middle East have developed an excellent strategic plan, with strong initiatives that I’m confident will drive new growth and greater levels of productivity across the region,” Ferranti said.  “In the United Kingdom, we are well positioned with our core customer base and will continue to place an emphasis on driving greater innovation, not only to enhance the value we provide to customers, but also to improve our cost competitiveness.  Throughout the rest of the region, we continue to project high growth potential, especially in Turkey and the Middle East, and we will keep aggressively exploring those opportunities.”
