To be considered for funding from Rich Products, your organization needs to:

  • Be a non-profit 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization. Non-profits that are approved for funding must provide a W9 or IRS letter as proof of non-profit status.
  • Have not received funding from Rich Products in the past 12 months.
  • Have programs that directly impact the Western New York Community.
  • Use all funding within the originally designated organization and do not redistribute funds to other causes or organizations.
  • Make your request within 60-90 days of the event for which you are seeking financial support.

Please note: Golf tournaments, youth sports and community or service organizations (e.g., Little League, travel sports, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, VFW Post, Knights of Columbus) are not eligible for monetary donations. However, these groups may be eligible to apply for an in-kind product donation.

**Eligibility does not guarantee an invitation to apply for a Rich Family Foundation grant.

Rich Products does not make financial contributions that support:

  • Organizations without 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status
  • Individuals or personal benefits
  • Political organizations, candidates, or lobbying organizations
  • Fraternal organizations*
  • Golf outings / tournaments*
  • Sports teams / sports programs*
  • Religious or sectarian organizations, except when they are conducting programs secular in nature that have wide public impact
  • Third parties – We prefer to give directly to agencies rather than groups fundraising on behalf of an agency
  • Scholarships to schools, trade programs, and/or colleges; some event or seminar-based scholarships are granted to qualifying tax-exempt organizations.
  • Professional seminars and/or membership fees, employee recognition events, or travel expenses
  • Taxpayer supported organizations (except public schools)
  • Dangerous activities (e.g., auto or boat racing)
  • Events where Rich’s name and/or product could be used in a demeaning way (e.g., pie throwing contests)

*These organizations may be eligible to apply for In-Kind product donations.

How do I know which grant to apply for?

Submit the pre-application form and we will help you discern next steps.

Can an organization receive in-kind donations from Rich’s if they are not a 501c3?

In-kind donation requests are reviewed individually based on availability of product and intended use, such as youth sports, benefits, etc. Please note: In-kind donations cannot be guaranteed.

What is the anticipated grant process timeline?

Grant applications are reviewed quarterly; grantees will be updated and notified of their application status via the grant portal, with decisions shared via email.

How will I be notified of a decision?

Applicants will be notified of a funding request decision via email.
