Mindy Rich

Mindy Rich is the Chairman of Rich Holdings Inc., the holding company for international food company Rich Products Corporation and all Rich family business enterprises. Prior to becoming chairman, Mindy served as vice chairman and a managing shareholder of Rich Products Corp.

In this role, she oversees governance, vision and strategic direction of the global organization. Mindy grew up in a family food business and studied organizational development before starting her career in marketing. She joined Rich’s in 1985.

From the earliest phases of her Rich’s career, Mindy saw the correlation between a vibrant corporate culture and a business’s durable success. She was involved in leading the efforts with associates to capture and articulate the essence of the company’s distinguishing qualities and codify the company’s values to guide long-term strategy and business decisions. 

Mindy steadily advanced her career in several roles as part of the leadership team, including executive vice president of innovation. She implemented an internal innovation marketing-mix approach centered around people, product, place, and process, and developed metrics to drive continual improvement. The efforts greatly expanded the breadth and accelerated the pace of product development to support Rich’s growth strategies. 

Mindy’s leadership in business strategy and corporate culture have been documented in the book Baked In: How Rich’s Created a Culture of Character. 

Mindy has a deep belief that innovation requires a continual cross pollination of ideas across varied businesses and industries. As part of her role at Rich Holdings Inc., Mindy is chairman of Rich Entertainment Group (REG), responsible for the organization’s baseball, theater, restaurant, and travel interests. These businesses have received numerous awards and honors including multiple baseball league championships and Tony Awards for Broadway theater productions.

Boards & Leadership

Mindy serves on the corporate Board of Directors for Rich Products Corp. and is the chair of the Board’s Finance and Audit Committee, and Compensation and Organization Committee, and a member of its Executive Committee and Governance Committee. 

She is a member of the corporate Boards of Directors of M&T Bank Corporation and Traders Trust Company (“M&T” Bank), member of the Executive Committees of M&T Bank Corporation and M&T Bank, and chair of the Nomination and Governance Committee of M&T Bank Corporation. Mindy is also on the Board of Directors for Weber Inc. where she serves as director and member of the Compensation Committee. She is also a member of the Cleveland Clinic Board of Directors; director of Board of Trustees, member of the Executive Committee and Compensation Committee for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame + Museum; and an advisor of BDT & MSD Capital Partners. In addition, Mindy serves as Trustee Emeritus and on the Trusteeship Committee for The Culinary Institute of America; and as a director of Grove Entertainment. 

As director of Rich Family Foundation, Mindy has worked with her husband, Bob Rich, to provide tens of millions of dollars’ worth of grants to organizations worldwide. In 1986, Mindy and Bob founded Western New York United Against Drug and Alcohol Abuse, a non-profit organization dedicated to fighting substance abuse and educating children throughout Western New York. They currently serve as chairpersons emeritus for this organization. Mindy also serves as the director of DreamCatcher Foundation.

Among other notable charitable activities, Mindy focused on fundraising geared toward finding a cure for cystic fibrosis. The Riches founded the Greater Niagara BassEye Celebrity Challenge that spawned several regional tournaments and together have raised more than $1.3 million for cystic fibrosis research since 2003. Personal

Mindy lives in Islamorada, FL with Bob and their dogs. She enjoys fly fishing, international travel and gourmet cooking, with a genuine love for music and theater.
