Daegu, Korea, September 22, 2011 – Rich Products Corporation of Buffalo, New York, today announces the opening of a manufacturing facility in Daegu, Korea to produce frozen and aseptic non-dairy creams for the bakery and foodservice industries.

This state-of-the-art manufacturing platform is part of Rich’s overall growth strategy to further develop its Korea and Asia businesses. Products made in Korea will be sold domestically, as well as exported to main markets including China, Taiwan, and Hong-Kong.
Rich’s entered the Korea market in 1989 with a single product, Rich’s Whip Topping (blue can). Since then, Rich’s Korea has established representative offices in three cities and has a national distribution of a wide range of products from non-dairy creams and beverages to a variety of value-added bakery goods. The new manufacturing facility in Daegu services a broad base of bakery, foodservice and industrial supplier customers.
Grand opening ceremonies are to be held on September 28 in Daegu. Several key leaders from Rich’s will be in attendance, including Robert Rich Jr., chairman, Mindy Rich, vice chairman, and Kevin Malchoff, International Group president. Guests from the Daegu area include the Mayor of Daegu City and senior officials from the Daegu KFDA, Fire Department and Police Department.
